Ever since I was a child, I’ve been sketching dresses, imagining fabrics, and dreaming in silhouettes. Fashion has always been my language — a way to tell stories without words.
During my fashion design degree, one question stayed with me: why are our Indian textiles reserved only for weddings and special occasions? Why don’t we wear our roots every day?
That question became my vision. As the founder and designer of Karunaari, I set out to blend tradition with contemporary design — transforming sarees and handcrafted fabrics into modern dresses, tops, pants, and kurti sets that women can wear effortlessly, every day.
Every piece I create carries intention, respect for craftsmanship, and a little todda hatke — because heritage deserves to be alive, vibrant, and part of daily life. Karunaari is my way of giving Indian artistry a new story, one stitch at a time.
With love,
Karuna
